Saturday fun!

We had a lovely Saturday & spent much of the day outside enjoying the beautiful weather!! We took our first family outing as a family of 4 and went to East Cobb Park to let Bella run around and play! Noah did great and slept the entire time so he was easy!! After the park we headed home to give Bella a nap and then we went out to the backyard to play in the hose and baby pool!! Bella had a blast getting soaked by daddy!!

Noah's 1st week..

We're adjusting well so far! Noah is such a good baby and is eating a lot (just like his daddy!). During the day he usually eats every 1-3 hours and at night it's every 2-4 hours normally. We are usually up twice at night to nurse and then he falls right back asleep so it hasnt been too bad!

Bella is still adjusting - she is great when it's just me, her and Noah but as soon as Andy enters the room - she must have his undivided attention & she is all over her daddy! I'm kind of looking forward to Andy going back to work next week so things will calm down a little, lol! We have my in-laws flying in on Wed night to see their first grandson so we are looking forward to their visit! Other than that - not much else going on - I have some more pics to share and will update again soon!!

He's Here! He's Here!!

Well - the eggplant parm worked!!! Well, we won't really ever know for sure BUT my water did break within the "48 hour" window of eating Scalini's! Pretty cool - Noah is the newest eggplant parm baby!!!

We have been super busy but I've been able to write up a little blurb about the birth and want to share a few (heck, who am I kidding - A LOT) of pics!! Get use to the pictures - the mommyrazzi is back!! hehe!

Noah's Birth Story:

My water broke at 10pm on Tuesday night (5/19) while hanging out at home. I was sitting on the couch when I suddenly felt a pop and then a gush and I ran to the bathroom and it just was flowing out, lol! I was so excited as last time I was induced and didnt get to experience going into labor on my own!!! I was having no labor symptoms or ctx so my water breaking was literally the first sign that anything was happening!! After making a phone call to the OB adn getting a friend over here to be with Bella for the night, Andy and I were off to the hospital by 11pm!

Once we got settled in the room and all the paperwork signed and filled out, they checked me and I was only 1.5 cm & 50% effaced so I was a little bummed that I wasnt further along and realized that we were in for a long night/next day, lol! The nurses told us to try to get some sleep but for me, that was impossible, lol! I had such a headache and I just couldnt doze off. Around 2:30am, I started feeling some mild cramping & ctx were kicking in. By about 4:30, the ctx were getting really close together and hard to breathe through - I woke Andy up with all my pains. I tried getting up and walking around to take my mind off the pain but that was just not helping - it seemed like every 2 mins I was getting a strong ctx & they gave me some meds through the IV (I can't remember the name, began with a P I think - Phenagram or Phetenol or something??) to help with the pain around 6 but that didnt help for too long. Around 6:45 I was begging for the epidural and by the time they give me a bag of fluids and get the epi to the room, it was 7:30am and I thought I was about to die, lol! I was now 4cm and feeling SOOOOO much relief after the epi - I was finally able to relax a little.

Things were going well and I was making a phone call or two when the nurse rushed in at 8:30am to check me bc she said she saw a sudden dip in the baby's HR and lo and behold, I was already at 9cm and baby's head was right there!!! I was like "NO WAY!!!!" I couldnt believe that in the past hour things had just progressed that fast, it was insane!! My midwife came in a few mins later and said it was almost time to have a birthday party and they started setting everything up for the delivery. My epi this time was so different than Bella's. I couldnt feel a THING this time - I felt everything with Bella & absolutely nothing with Noah. It was so weird to not feel my legs or even any pressure down there. I was thinking how the heck can I push him out when I can't feel anything?? I think I started pushing at 9am and by 9:03am & 5 pushes later, he was here!!! It was so amazing and quick and hearing his sweet little cries just was awesome!!! He only cried for a min and then was so calm and serene. I kept thinking something was wrong with him bc he was just TOO quiet, lol!!! Total opposite of miss Bella! He was so cute and looked like Bella's twin at first (now he looks like a mix of Andy, Bella and myself). I really couldnt have asked for a better delivery and I didn't have any stitches so that made things even better!!

Anyway, his official stats were 7 lb, 1 oz and 19.5 inches long - born on Wednesday, May 20 at 9:03am! I was so happy it was May 20 - I love the #20 (it was my jersey # in sports growing up) and I have a thing with even numbers so I was happy! LOL. I'm a dork, I know!

Oh - and in my Expectnet baby pool that I did online - I had originally guessed he would be here May 20 at 3:35am and would weigh 7 lb, 2 oz!! How close was I??? LOL! Pretty dang close if I do say so myself, hehe!!

So that's his birth story! We were able to go home the next afternoon - we really didnt need to stay the extra night as Noah and I were doing just fine and I wanted to get home & in my own bed, lol!! My mom ended up taking the first flight to Atlanta on Wed morning to take over Bella duty and she flew out yesterday so we are already missing her! She had such a blast with Bella and vice versa! I loved seeing them bond so well!!!

Noah has been such a great baby so far (I really hope this continues). The only rough night so far was Thurs night but I think that was bc of his circumcision earlier in the day and he was just in pain from that, poor little guy! He is a nursing champ as well - so much easier than Bella but I think those 2 extra weeks of Noah baking inside me had a lot to do with that. He is nursing every 2-3 hours and I've even had to pump 2-3X a day since Friday to relieve the breasts bc they've been getting so full in btwn sessions. Bella has been doing great as well - she was a little unsure of Noah at first (esp when she came to the hospital to visit) but each day she gets better and will just suddenly go over and give him a kiss and touch his blanket and say 'soft". She hasnt paid too much attention to him yet. If he cries, she gets concerned and will sometimes start crying too and when I change his diapers, she keeps saying "pook, pook" (her version of "poop") and has been helping me throw out all his diapers. She has been attached to Daddy and gets a little jealous when Daddy holds Noah. I think she associates me with Noah and it's okay for me to feed, hold him but I think in her mind that Andy is HER's and doesnt like when he gives Noah attention, lol!
